Who Processes NOC:

  • India: Issued by the Ministry of External Affairs or relevant state authorities.
  • Bangladesh: Approved by the Ministry of Education and authenticated by the Foreign Ministry.
  • China: Requires approval from local education bureaus.
  • Pakistan: Provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • Morocco: Processed through the Ministry of Higher Education and local municipal offices.

Below is a general guide for Nepalese students

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by Nepal’s Ministry of Education (MoE) is a mandatory document required for Nepalese students seeking to pursue studies in the UK.

Purpose:

  • The NOC signifies the Nepal government’s permission for you to study abroad.
  • It is crucial for banks in Nepal to facilitate fee transfers to your chosen UK university.

Cost:

  • The application fee for an NOC is NRs—2,000 (Nepalese Rupees).
  • You’ll pay this fee at Rastriya Banijya Bank after your application is approved.

Processing Time:

  • Under normal circumstances, document verification takes 2-3 business days after you submit your application.
  • However, delays can occur if additional information is needed.

Application Process:

  1. Gather Documents: You’ll need specific documents, including:
    • A copy of your citizenship certificate or passport
    • Letter of acceptance from your UK university
    • Academic certificates and transcripts (translated into English if necessary)
    • Passport-sized photographs
    • Completed application form (available online)
  2. Apply Online or In-Person: You can apply for an NOC online through the MoE website [https://noc.moest.gov.np/] or in person at the MoE office in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
  3. Pay the Fee: Once your application is approved, you’ll need to pay the NRs. 2,000 fee at a designated Rastriya Banijya Bank branch.
  4. Collect your NOC: After successful verification and payment, you’ll receive your official NOC document.

Important Tips:

  • Start the application process well in advance, especially since UK student visa applications may also require the NOC.
  • Double-check all required documents to ensure they are complete, valid, and translated if necessary.
  • The MoE website and official channels are the most reliable sources for updated information and application procedures.

Additional Resources:

By following these steps and gathering the necessary information, you can obtain your NOC efficiently and smoothly proceed with your UK study plans. If you need any further help with the guidance, please contact us.
